Puppy-Pre School

We think this is the single most important class you will ever attend. Intensive socialization plus an introduction to basic cues such as attention, sit, and down will start you and your puppy off on the right paw. We will also discuss housetraining and crate training, handling, mouthing, chewing and more.  For puppies 7-16 weeks old. $195 for six-week class.

Not sure where to begin? How about with the basics! This class focuses on 4 specific skills: SIT, DOWN, STAY and GO TO PLACE. We’ll also address common issues such as jumping, “counter surfing”, and greeting. This class is structured for dogs over 8 months old who have never taken a class or need a refresher on basic skills. Note: Your dogs should be friendly or tolerant to other dogs while on leash in order to attend this class. $195 for six-week class.

Tellington TTouch® Workshop

Underlying stress, fear, or simple confusion is often to blame for common, unwanted behaviors in dogs. In this workshop, you’ll be introduced to the Tellington TTouch® Training Method – a no-force, no-fear approach to training that complements other positive training methods, addressing underlying concerns or issues that traditional training overlooks. It’s a gently powerful method that helps decrease stress and increase focus, calm and resilience in dogs, while deepening the bond you and your pet share. Canine Massage and Bodywork

This class is fun, informative and very hands on! Learn how to assess your dog and use massage techniques to help your best friend with anything from anxiety to arthritis. The benefits are enormous. Massage is also used with behavior training to help your dog relax as they learn to focus better. Taught by a nationally certified human and canine massage therapist, there is no other class like this in the Chicagoland area! Please bring a towel or mat that your dog is comfortable lying on. $40 for one-day class.

Walking nicely on leash and coming when called are two of the most essential skills for dogs and their owners. Did you just adopt an adult dog? Or is this your dog’s fifth home in five months? Based on our extensive experience and knowledge of shelter dog behavior, we created this class to meet the needs of re-homed and rescued dogs 8 months old and up. We will work on basic handling and obedience skills to encourage good canine manners and facilitate communication and trust.  Note: Dogs should be tolerant or friendly to other dogs while on leash in order to attend this class. $195 for six-week class.

Polish your handling skills while strengthening basic cues and commands, enhancing leash walking skills and training through distractions. Intro to Agility

This totally fun class offers an introduction to various agility obstacles including jumps, open and closed tunnels, weave poles, and the seesaw. Great for confidence building and for dogs that love to problem solve. (Okay, you got us! ALL dogs like to problem solve.) Just keep in mind that your pooch needs to be happy around other dogs in order to enroll in this fine class. Dogs age 6 months and up are welcome. $195 for six-week class.

The Family Dog

Field Trip

OUR MOST POPULAR CLASS!  Only offered in the summertime, Field Trip allows you to take your training on the road. Is your dog a little more timid than most? Spooked by common things? Unsure about new people or new dogs? We can help!
