This is the single most important class you will ever attend! Intensive socialization plus an introduction to basic cues such as attention, sit, and down will start you and your puppy off on the right paw. We will discuss housetraining, crate training, handling, mouthing, chewing, and more. Developed for all puppies up to 8 months old, this class also features polite leash walking and overall basic manners.
Do you want your dog to have a positive impact on our community? The AKC Canine Good Citizen program is designed to recognize dogs for good manners. It’s also a great training step for people interested in animal-assisted therapy work. This class teaches the skills necessary to pass the test, which is offered by the AKC at various times and locations. Finally, a class for people and dogs who are happier training during the day! If your evenings seem to leave no room for anything extra, or if you and your dog simply just work better during the day, this is the class for you. Learn a host of helpful behaviors that will strengthen your bond with your dog and get you home for dinner, helping with homework or your favorite reality show! And yes, you can bring the kids!
Wouldn’t it be fun to be in a room full of dogs who look, act and misbehave similarly? Call it commiserating or bonding, this class looks at what your dog was genetically built to do and approaches basic behavior building and problem solving with this insight in mind. The class is open to “Doodles” of all ages, but puppies between 7 and 16 weeks are encouraged to have taken or also be enrolled in a Puppy Grade School class. Note: Your dog should be friendly or tolerant to other dogs while on leash in order to attend this class.

We’ll also address common issues such as jumping, “counter surfing” and greeting. This class is structured for dogs 6 months old and up who have never taken a class or need a refresher on basic skills.

It is time to teach your dog that YOU are the most important thing in their world. Come prepared to work – the results will amaze you! This class is structured for dogs ages 8 months and up.
Is your dog new to your home or have you been putting off training for a while? Well, as the title states, it’s never too late to start. This class will help you teach your dog manners and show you how they apply to real-life situations.
Have you noticed that your dog has picked up some interesting new behaviors? It’s a case of puppy puberty! Middle School Manners is here to help you navigate the sometimes difficult adolescent stage of canine development. This class addresses canine teenage challenges while working to help you take your dog’s basic manners to the next level. (For dogs 8 months to 2 years, pre-requisite: Puppy Grade School, Fido Foundation, It’s Never Too Late or instructor approval.)

Walking nicely on leash and coming when called are two of the most essential skills for dogs and their owners. This class offers intensive training in both skills and encourages your dog to pay attention despite distractions. This class is structured for dogs ages 8 months and up.
This is the “Pimp My Ride” of dog training! This enjoyable class provides mental stimulation for your dog while teaching a variety of tricks in a relaxed, stress-free environment. The list of possibilities is endless: shake, high-five, spin, take a bow, sit pretty, wave, hide your eyes, put your toys away, fetch, find it, turn on/off the light, etc. or if you have a special trick or skill you would like to teach your dog, we will help you do it. Teaching tricks is a great way to enhance your relationship with your dog and to improve overall obedience while having a blast! No prior training required.
All 6-week classes are $225; the 4-week Puppy Head Start classes are $150. If your dog came from a rescue or shelter, let us know and we’ll take $25 off your first class! (Some exceptions apply.)
