This is the single most important class you will ever attend! Intensive socialization plus an introduction to basic cues such as attention, sit, and down will start you and your puppy off on the right paw. We will discuss housetraining, crate training, handling, mouthing, chewing, and more. Developed for all puppies up to 8 months old, this class also features polite leash walking and overall basic manners.
Do you want your dog to have a positive impact on our community? The AKC Canine Good Citizen program is designed to recognize dogs for good manners. It’s also a great training step for people interested in animal-assisted therapy work. This class teaches the skills necessary to pass the test, which is offered by the AKC at various times and locations. Finally, a class for people and dogs who are happier training during the day! If your evenings seem to leave no room for anything extra, or if you and your dog simply just work better during the day, this is the class for you. Learn a host of helpful behaviors that will strengthen your bond with your dog and get you home for dinner, helping with homework or your favorite reality show! And yes, you can bring the kids!
Only offered during the warmer months, Field Trip allows you to take your training on the road. Every week we meet at a new location to train, practice and have tons of fun (first week meets at training center). Be prepared to dress for the weather and bring a little spending money on most weeks. Dogs must be at least 8 months old with a basic skill set and friendly to other dogs on leash.

Is your dog new to your home or have you been putting off training for a while? Well, as the title states, it’s never too late to start. This class will help you teach your dog manners and show you how they apply to real-life situations.
Have you noticed that your dog has picked up some interesting new behaviors? It’s a case of puppy puberty! Middle School Manners is here to help you navigate the sometimes difficult adolescent stage of canine development. This class addresses canine teenage challenges while working to help you take your dog’s basic manners to the next level. (For dogs 8 months to 2 years, pre-requisite: Puppy Grade School, Fido Foundation, It’s Never Too Late or instructor approval.)

Getting your puppy’s training started off on the right paw is one of the most important things you can do to build a long-lasting relationship with your dog. This class focuses on socialization to all things a puppy will encounter in human family which will build confidence in how they experience their new home. We will also address puppy mouthing, crate and potty training and appropriate puppy play while we introduce them to a few basic behaviors that encourage them to focus on you. Walking nicely on leash and coming when called are two of the most essential skills for dogs and their owners. This class offers intensive training in both skills and encourages your dog to pay attention despite distractions. This class is structured for dogs ages 8 months and up.
All 6-week classes are $225; the 4-week Puppy Head Start classes are $150. If your dog came from a rescue or shelter, let us know and we’ll take $25 off your first class! (Some exceptions apply.)
