Virtual Training in a time of COVID-19

Welcome to the newest way to train your dog! As we navigate this new COVID-19 time in our world, we are adapting and changing the way we work, interact and learn and this includes how we train our dogs.

At AnimalSense, we understand the importance of training our puppies and dogs to become well-mannered members of our families and that is something we encourage everyone to continue to do even during this uncertain time. While virtual training may not totally replace the experience of group classes or one on one training with our professional trainers, it does help you lay the foundation for those core behaviors every dogs’ needs.

Virtual Classes

Whether you have a new puppy in your house, recently adopted a dog or have noticed that your dog needs a bit more training, our virtual training classes are the right fit for you.

*Lessons can be held via Zoom, Facetime or Skype. Once you register for a lesson, an AnimalSense trainer will contact you to find out more about your training needs and availability. Zoom Behavior Consultations available, call the office to learn more.

Motivation~Consistency~Repetition

Whether you’ve recently adopted a new dog or just want to teach your old dog some new tricks, it’s never too late for training. Training your dog requires a thoughtful combination of motivation, consistency and repetition. Motivate your pups with things they want such as food, toys, play and/or praise. Then, be consistent – the rules should apply everywhere and with everyone. Lastly, repetition is key. Just as we practice for skills we want to improve; dogs have to be successful over and over to get better at what we want them to do.

I have worked with many of the trainers who are part of the AnimalSense team. They are wonderful!
