Lindsay Rapp - Assistant Staff Trainer

A native of Chicago, Lindsay grew up in the northwest suburbs. She has always been an animal lover growing up with dogs, cats, and horses. She competitively jumped horses as a child up until she went away to college. She attended University of Kansas and graduated with a BA in Communication and Event Planning. Upon moving home to Chicago she decided to get into residential real estate and love it for that past 5 years.

Wanting a career change, Lindsay followed her heart and pursued a new path working with animals. At the present she has 3 wonderful and loving dogs of her own. She decided that what really made her heart sing was to open and own her own Doggy Daycare in the city of Chicago, but she wanted to do it right. Having heard great reviews from a few people about Animal Sense and the Academy, she enrolled in the 6-month program. She says, "It’s the best thing that could have happened to me. It has taught me so much that I am going to now have the knowledge and insight to open a fun but also safe doggy daycare." Along with the wisdom she has gained from the Academy she has also found a whole new family of people who think alike and can share experiences to shed new insights along this new path.

She is currently an Assistant Trainer and is securing space to open her Doggy Daycare that will hopefully open in the fall of 2010.

In her free time she loves playing with her 3 dogs, Dolce, Moxie, and Kayla; working out, reading, developing her camera skills and just enjoying the city. She is also a member of Young Professionals of Chicago, Bucktown Community Organization, andon the Metro board of Metropolitan Family Services, which provides a high level of support for disadvantaged families.
