Free Seminar - "Ready, Set... Dog?"

"Ready, Set.... Dog?" is the free seminar offered by AnimalSense for people who are thinking about getting a dog. The free seminar is every first Wednesday of the month, given by the animal experts from AnimalSense.

The next one is on February 7th, 2007, from 7-8 p.m. at Pet Vets, 340 Harrison Avenue in Oak Park, IL.

"I know that people who are thinking about getting a dog and attend one of these free seminars will be better educated customers and we can help them avoid some common mistakes," said AnimalSense trainer Cathy Theys.

After attending the "Ready, Set... Dog?" seminar, attendees will be much more educated about what type of dog is best for them, what to look for in a dog, and what questions to ask a breeder or adoption agency.

AnimalSense has been offering these since the fall of 2005. Anyone thinking about buying or adopting a dog is welcome, no registration necessary. At one session, an attendee brought the ad from PetFinder and got direct advice for their family and that pet. We are now giving out free copies of Dr. Ian Dunbar's fantastic book "BEFORE You Get Your Puppy" to the first 5 people at each seminar.

"We see so many problems everyday that might be prevented with a little advance information. Our classes are great for helping people who already have a dog, but we really want to help people before they bring that dog home too. This free seminar will be fun and informative," said owner and training director Jamie Damato.

AnimalSense also offers classes and private in home training sessions that are geared towards manners, fun, health, and helping human families live with their canine companions.
