Meet Usher!
December 2003

I am a happy happy dog!

Hi, My name is Usher and I am a Miniature Australian Shepherd. I was born in June 2002 and I've had a pretty exciting life so far. I belong to Ina, Geoff and Sonja, and live with my two cat friends, Silk and Milo. I have another family I will tell you about later. When I was just 2 months old I went on a trip to Minnesota which was fun, I especially liked Lake Superior.

I have done lots of training with Jamie and AnimalSense, starting with Puppy Pre-School when I was about 4 months old. I took many other classes until my first birthday and now I know what I am supposed to do and actually do it (most of the time). This fall I took the Canine Good Citizen course and in November I passed my test and now I have a nice Canine Good Citizen badge with my name on it. In the spring I will find out more about the Delta Society and visit sick or old people in hospital. I've helped out at the homeless shelter a few times and that was fun. I like to meet new people and play with other dogs. In January I'm going to check out an Agility class. I love to play fetch and run around in the woods or on the beach. Thatcher Woods and Montrose Beach are my favorite places. I also go to the dog park on Ridgeland Commons on the weekends.

My other family I go to visit sometimes are Angie and Bill, Solo, Seven, Shagg, Skye and Zorra. Solo is my father, and Seven and Zorra are my sisters. My official name is BIS CH Wigglebutt James Bond CGC. The CGC stands for Canine Good Citizen, and the CH for Champion; I've been to a few dog shows with Angie and Bill and won some stuff, once I even won a Best in Show. To find out more about me, check out this: http://www.wigglebuttaussies.com/JamesBond.htm. Last spring my sister Sonja took this picture of me and it's now featured on the front cover of a calendar raising money for Miniature Australian Rescue.
