Puppy Pre-School

We think this is the single most important class you will ever attend. Intensive socialization plus an introduction to basic cues such as attention, sit, and down will start you and your puppy off on the right paw. We will also discuss housetraining and crate training, handling, mouthing, chewing and more. For puppies 7-16 weeks old. $195 for six-week class.

Breed Specific: Doodle Delights

AnimalSense prides itself on being the dog trainers to all breeds, especially mutts. That being said, it can be really fun and informative to have a room full of dogs who look, act and misbehave similarly. These breed-specific classes look at what your dog was genetically built to do and approaches basic behavior problem solving with this insight in mind. The class is open to ‘Doodles’ of all ages, but puppies between 7 and 16 weeks need to also be enrolled in a Puppy Preschool class.$195 for six-week class.

Trick My Dog

This enjoyable class provides mental stimulation for your dog while teaching a variety of tricks in a relaxed, stress-free environment. The list of possibilities is endless: shake, high-five, spin, take a bow, sit pretty, wave, hide your eyes, put your toys away, fetch, find it, turn on/off the light, etc. or if you have a special trick or skill you would like to teach your dog, we will help you do it. Teaching tricks is a great way to enhance your relationship with your dog and to improve overall obedience while having a blast! No prior training required.

Leash Walking in the City

Walking on leash can be either frustrating or bonding for dogs and pet parents. This class takes off where an indoor leash walking class ends, addressing common issues such as pulling, lagging and dealing with squirrels and other city distractions. Most classes will be held outdoors. All ages welcome. Please note: if your dog barks, lunges or otherwise acts unruly on leash around other dogs, we recommend our Doggone Issues class instead. $195 for six-week class.

Intro to Agility

This totally fun class offers an introduction to various agility obstacles including jumps, open and closed tunnels, weave poles, and the seesaw. Great for confidence building and for dogs that love to problem solve. (Okay, you got us! ALL dogs like to problem solve.) Just keep in mind that your pooch needs to be happy around other dogs in order to enroll in this fine class. Dogs age 6 months and up are welcome. $195 for six-week class.

Canine Good Citizen

Do you want your dog to have a positive impact on our community? The AKC Canine Good Citizen program is designed to recognize dogs for good manners. It’s also a great training step for people interested in animal-assisted therapy work. This class teaches the skills necessary to pass the test, which is offered by the AKC at various times and locations. All ages welcome; please contact us at train@animalsense.com if you have any questions about the readiness of your dog for this class. $195 for six-week class.

Did you just adopt an adult dog? Or is this your dog’s fifth home in five months?
